brandbreak!

Napst... wait, what?

introduced to pandora.com (thanks to Jeb) it’s a site with a great concept… it plays music like a radio station but it customizes it for the listener… check it out.

listening is crucial.

pandora's site design is ok. it uses a color theme that reminds me of an old browser i once used called camino (absorbed by Firefox). i'm sick of seeing these colors. even all of the icons used by Apple are now blue... i liked the old green iTunes icon.

more exciting though, pandora gave me some new music to add to my library (yay)

... less exciting, the site sells ad space to companies like HP (everyone has to make $$ somehow) but the ads mess with the overall look-and-feel of the site. it shouldn't change with every ad… i suppose you can minimize the window, but i like to screw with the playlists a bit.

i’ve been told there are players that don’t show the ads, but i’d rather not add another program to my already long list of apps.

pandora is indeed magical. convenient enough that they are very radio like, i just choose to ignore the hideous background on their website.
